Briefly, one barrel of Crude Oil price depends on OPEC market. Thus, the refinery could make variety of products from the same barrel with four times over the price of the same barrel on the OPEC price. i.e.: (+400%) profits increasing of same barrel price.

This will lead to: economy improvement and income increase to Iraq national product.

PECC’s Refinery Processes

PECC plan to work on crude oil refineries field with top scientists, engineers, technicians and safety professionals to ensure that all products are produced efficiently and safely. Iraq refineries process about 2 million barrels of crude oil per day. Refinery configurations vary, but PECC plan to build refineries are undeniably one of the world’s most sophisticated, to ensure the best quality of product to the client.

PECCIQ’s Adventures in Energy – Refining Oil

Exploration of the refining process plays a role in unleashing the potential of a barrel of crude oil and turning it into the specially formulated products that we rely on every day & everywhere. Gas oil, gasoline, parfums support material, agricultural chemicals, white oil, polymers, plastics, and even prescription medicines, all these products and more are included. Demonstrated in this section are the sophisticated technologies involved in several key processes, including distilling, reforming, blending and treating that safely and efficiently

help deliver energy in all its usable forms to Iraqi’s consumers.

In general, refineries are considered an essential part of the downstream side of the petroleum industry because it’s considered as a most complex and expensive industrial facilities. Refineries have three main basic steps: Separation, Conversion &Treatment.

PECCIQ’s services has the potential to offer:

  • Implementation of projects related to oil fields, pipelines, installation of degassing, pumping stations, petroleum refineries and others; on both EPC and EPC+F (EPC+ Finance) basis.
  • Supply all materials, oil equipment, and utility equipment.
  • All kinds of logistics and provision of equipment and security.

RASEP (a parent company of PECC) was nominated to implement a logistic and other services project to rehabilitate the oil wells in West Qurna, north of Al Rumaila and it was actually contracted with Weatherford Company to work with them in their projects in southern Iraq. Our work included projects to rehabilitate the wells for the maintenance and rehabilitation of a group of wells in the fields of West Qurna and North Rumaila.

The starting project was the rehabilitation of (30) wells and the contract was extended to add (20) wells and then we got another contract of new (30) wells.

What differentiates good Construction Supervision and Management services is achieving the balance, safety and on schedule delivery across the different aspects of the project. This balance can only be achieved when enough knowhow and experience are brought forward, and it is this exact edge that sets RASEP apart in this industry.

RASEP has all needed experience to execute oil refineries and oil storage tank designing and construction. Our company has implemented ‘Halfaya’ oil field storage tanks project. Through: engineering design, procurement, construction pre-commissioning and commissioning of two 30’000 m3 crude oil storage tank with two 5,000 m3 fire water tanks including Gas boot, Tanks, firefighting system, Blanketing system, Instrumentation, civil, Telecommunication, Cathodic Protection and the auxiliary facilities, and all other accessories according to the scope of work of the project.

Moreover, we have big workshop in this field located at Awireej industrial city/Baghdad. This workshop is the only specialized workshop in this field at an area more than 10,000 m2 which aims to cover the local demand for the following products in petroleum refining units as below:

  • High pressure vessels
  • Depots and storage tanks for petroleum products
  • The production and maintenance of heat exchangers with different sizes.
  • The production and maintenance of different parts of petroleum refineries in both small and large scale.
  • Steel structure for industrial sector.
